FREE Basic Energy Awareness Training (CPD)

NEA, the national fuel poverty and energy efficiency charity is currently delivering a Warm Friends project that aims to advise and support those living with dementia (and those providing support to them) on how to better manage their energy needs and usage to achieve warmer, healthier and more energy efficient homes.

We would like to invite you to take part in a short survey of charity leaders for the Weston Charity Awards – which as you may know we run in partnership with the Garfield Weston Foundation. Your answers will help us to better understand the needs of the sector.

Hopefully you will have seen that in November we, alongside Newcastle University will be delivering the GeNErosity Festival. The festival is a series of 50 events, taking place across the North East between Wednesday 7th November and Tuesday 27th November, celebrating the history, current role and future of philanthropy across the region.

NHS Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group have taken on board feedback, and have re-arranged the venue for our Urgent Care consultation feedback event.

it sets out that the NHS is developing its ambitions for improvement over the next decade, and its plans to deliver them over the five years of funding settlement. As part of this process they want contributions and ideas, experiences and insights from a whole range of stakeholders including the voluntary and community sector.

Big Lottery have now launched the recruitment for three Board vacancies, The appointments are made by the Secretary of State and the recruitment process will be run by DCMS

are looking for candidates for the following slots:

Board member and Chair of England Committee 

Board member with senior exec experience of the charity or community sector

Board member with funding experience (preferably in civil society)

 

The Great Exhibition of the North would not have been possible without the motivation and enthusiasm of its Get North Volunteers. Now that the 80-day event has come to an end some of our talented volunteers are looking for new opportunities.

On Thursday 27 September the Great Exhibition team will be hosting an Opportunities Event at the BALTIC Centre of Contemporary Art in the River Terrace from 3pm to 5pm.
